For ages 7+
Get close to our musicians and listen to beautiful music performed by BCMG.
BCMG presents a relaxed, hour-long, late-afternoon concert for the whole family exploring a sparkling collection of short pieces by composers Elliott Carter, Helen Grime and Pierre Boulez.
Learn about how music can be composed by starting with a short fragment of music and then playing it backwards or upside down, or how the letters of someone’s name can be turned into sound. Each piece is composed for a different colourful combination of instruments – meet the musicians and learn about the instruments they play.
BCMG’s hour-long Families@4 concerts for ages 7+ are a wonderful informal opportunity for all the family to experience the best classical music of our time.
Come and take part in linked pre-concert activities in the foyer of CBSO Centre, starting at 3pm.
